Who we are
MacSplat is developed by Semih Demir. For anything about your data, write to support@macsplat.com.
The app
MacSplat works on your Mac. Your photos, videos and models stay on your Mac; the app collects nothing about you and has no analytics.
The only thing it asks the internet for is a small file that says whether a new version exists (download.macsplat.com/latest.json): automatically at launch, at most once a day, and whenever you choose Help › Check for Updates…. It sends no identifiers or cookies. Like any web request, the server sees your IP address and the app's version. You can switch the automatic check off in MacSplat › Settings.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in telling you about fixes and new versions (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We don't store these requests ourselves; Cloudflare keeps its standard request logs for a limited time under its own policy.
Feedback e-mail
Help › Send Feedback… opens an e-mail that you write and send yourself. It contains what you write, your macOS version, Mac model, chip and memory, a summary of your last run (its settings, the step it reached and any error message), its last log lines, and — if you leave it attached — the full log, which lists folder paths on your Mac (these can include your Mac user name). Error messages can contain folder paths too. You see all of it in the mail and can remove anything before sending.
If MacSplat closes unexpectedly during a run, it offers to prepare such a mail the next time it opens; nothing is sent unless you send it.
We use it only to answer you and fix problems. Feedback e-mails are kept in our mailbox as a support archive so we can help with similar problems later; ask us and we delete yours.
Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in fixing the app (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts this website and the downloads.
- Zoho Mail stores and delivers our e-mail, in its EU data centre.
Cloudflare processes data outside Türkiye and the EU, including in the United States; Zoho keeps our e-mail in the EU, outside Türkiye. Both publish data-protection terms for this processing; questions about them go to support@macsplat.com.
This website
The website loads no third-party scripts, sets no cookies and has no analytics. Cloudflare, which serves it, keeps standard request logs (IP address, page, browser) for a limited time under its own policy, to run and protect the site — our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use: write to support@macsplat.com. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), or to the data protection authority of your country in the EU.
